PROBUS Outdoors Club – Bella Hill Maple Syrup Farm

This week we will be heading to Bella Hill Maple Syrup Farm. Our hosts and guides will be Lori, Dan and Ranger the dog. I should mention that Ranger has graduated from a canine volunteer program and is now a dog with a job.

This year Lori will be taking us on a less muddy route. We will be on part of Bella Hill Road, and then on an ATV trail to our destination – the Alsace Lookout. The entire loop route will be approximately 4 km. After the hike there will be a campfire back at the base. Please bring your lunches and your thermos with your beverage. I am bringing my pie irons so you can toast your sandwiches over the open fire. There is an indoor bathroom and a few benches around the campfire in case you forget your camp chair. The maple syrup kitchen will have a few maple products for sale. There is no obligation to purchase products.

Directions to Bella Hill Maple Syrup Farm
From North Bay
Drive south on Hwy 11.
Exit from Hwy 11 south at Powassan exit # 316
Turn left onto Hwy 534 ( towards Nipissing/ Restoule)
Drive aprox 7 km
Turn left onto Bella Hill Road. There is a small green sign on the right side of the highway a bit before the turn off that says Bella Hill Road.
Once on Bella Hill Road, it is less than a km. to their driveway which is on the right side. There is plenty of parking.
