PROBUS Outdoors Club – Otter Lake

We have had some awesome scouts checking out trails for our Thursday a.m. hikes. Thank you all. We will be hiking them, just not this week. Considering the weather forecast is calling for more rain this week, the Trout Lake area trails, which are steep in areas, may still be a bit wet for this Thursday. They are on the list for this spring though.
On Thursday May 5th, we will be meeting at the trailhead for Otter Lake. If we stay on the narrow trail to the right (which is mostly hilly) it should be mostly dry and less rocky. I am assuming we will have to backtrack on the return trail as the road most likely will be very wet. It usually is.
Email Barb Wed. May 4th 2021 if you plan to attend. Don’t forget your lawn chairs for after the hike.

Otter Lake is about 25 min. drive from Northgate Shopping Mall.
Take Trout Lake Road / highway 63 for aprox 14 km. Turn left onto Widdifield Station Rd. Drive aprox 4km. There is a very small sign on the right. There is a very small parking lot.
