PROBUS Outdoors Club – Wasi Lake

Thank you all for your suggestions as to where to paddle next, much appreciated. Last fall a few of our members scouted out Wasi Lake. This week on Thursday July 21st we’re getting around to paddling there. Bring your lunch and lawn chairs. The weather forecast suggests showers around, but the heat wave will be over. Thursday’s weather forecast is a chance of showers but, after this heat wave, we may not mind getting a bit wet.
Directions to Wasi Lake – compliments of Terry etc .Hwy11 south exit # 329 Lake Nosbonsing Rd. Turn left toward Astorville. Take the next right which should be Groulx Rd. You will come to a 4 way stop but go straight through which turns into Alderdale Rd. Turn left onto Memorial Park Rd which takes you towards Clear Springs golf course. Take that until you hit the entrance towards Wassi Lake Lodge which is Beach Rd. At the end you will see a park and the lake where we can launch our boats.The two bridges you cross is the river we will be traveling up. There are other routes if some people want to research but this is the most straight forward. The end result is the road to Wasi Lake Lodge.
