PROBUS 268 Monthly Meeting – Feb, 2022

Good morning to all our Blue Sky PROBUS members:

Please review the following information regarding our February speaker.  It is such an honour to have this highly, recognized individual attend our Zoom meeting as our guest speaker.  Your attendance to this meeting is extremely appreciated.

We are excited to advise that our February guest speaker will be Lt Colonel Joseph (Joe) Oldford of CFB North Bay 22 Wing. Joe is the commander of the 21 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron. The Mission of 21 Aerospace Control and Control Squadron is to provide surveillance, identification, warning, and control of Canadian aerospace through the use of our national sensor network and airborne assets. As part of the NORAD team, the squadron performs air sovereignty and counter-air missions and is at the ready to defend against all air threats in the defense of Canada and North America. Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Oldford will provide us with some insight as to the history, organization, and importance of CFB North Bay and the NORAD headquarters and in particular the role of his squadron. We are really looking forward to hearing the Lieutenant Colonel speak about this particularly important part of our North Bay community. It is an honour for our PROBUS group to have such a distinguished guest speaker this February.
