PROBUS Outdoors Club – Wasi Cross Country Ski Club

Many thanks to Marie-Claude and Guy for hosting us last week.
This Thursday, March 9th, we will be heading to Wasi Cross-Country Ski Club to snowshoe on their snowshoe trails. Wasi X-C club rules require us to wear snowshoes on their snowshoe trails. Sorry, no dogs are allowed on their trails. The trail fee for the day is $10.00 per person. Exact change is required. This fee includes use of all their trails so if you wish you could ski in the afternoon. They do have lovely x- c ski trails and clean outhouses. The plan is to snowshoe up to the warm up hut and back to the chalet. If you are unable to snowshoe, please consider coming to the club for the campfire. You could wait in the chalet until we are back from our snowshoe outing. Aim for around 11:15 – 11:30 a.m. if you plan to do this. We will have our campfire near the chalet after our snowshoe. Bring your lawn chair and thermos.

From North Bay, take Hwy 11 south to the second exit (#329): Lake Nosbonsing Rd/Hwy 654. Turn left (heading east) towards Astorville. Follow this road about 4 km over a set of railway tracks. About 1.5 km after the tracks, you will see the ski club on your left.
