PROBUS Outdoors Club – Laurentian Escarpment

Happy New Year ! 

 

Our first hike of 2023 will be on Thursday, January 5th 2023. We will be exploring the McNutt and Richardson trails on the Laurentian Escarpment. Meet in the North Bay Conservation Area’s parking lot. Considering the weather conditions for this week, using walking poles and wearing ice cleats on your boots might be beneficial. Bring your thermos and lawn chair for after the hike. 

 

All hikes start at 10:00 a.m.

Reflecting on some of the Outdoor activities for 2022, several new members joined our group. Thanks to all of you, new hiking and paddling routes were researched and led by some of you. We paddled in sudden downpours, hiked muddy trails and some of us had to scrape frost off our cars for that last paddle of the season. We had a variety of campfires, learned to get out of our lawn chairs in deep snow, and enjoyed each other’s company – all in the great outdoors. Thank you all for your participation and support with our Outdoor group.
